Comparison of statistical results from Sweden and the Netherlands concerning measurement errors of petrol meters. In Sweden compulsory periodic verification is carried out on petrol meters. On the other hand, in the Netherlands inspection is limited to spot samples of the meters. A comparison of the results respectively shows that the mean value of the Swedish meters is practically zero. The Dutch meters have a mean error which is in the order of +0,4%. Also the dispersion between the meters is lower in Sweden than in the Netherlands. The consequence of the above is among other things that the Swedish consumers in mean get "better" volume which corresponds a total gain of about 90 MSEK per year.
