Cortinarius flavipallens (Basidiomycota, Agaricales) and other Webcaps (Cortinarius subgenus Phlegmacium sect. Calochroi) in Boreal Calcerous Coniferous Forests Many species of the genus Cortinarius subg. Phlegmacium sect. Calochroi in boreal calcareous forests are still poorly understood. This applies in particular to the species Cortinarius flavipallens which was described in 2014 based on a scarce number of specimens from Finland. Within the Boreala svampskogar project (2023–ongoing), 17 collections of C. plavipallens from boreal Sweden were confirmed with DNA-barcoding of the ITS-gene. Based on this material, an updated description of C. flavipallens is provided along with a brief overview of Calochroi-species in boreal calcareous coniferous forests of the Nordic contries.
