A series of comparative tests has been performed at the fire technical laboratories in Finland, Norway and Sweden. The tests aimed at achieving data on the thermal characteristics of the horizontal furnaces. The test results indicate that the thermal characteristics of the different furnaces are very similar. The National Testing Institute in Sweden, Department of Chemistry and Fire Technology (SP/KB), has coordinated the tests and prepared this document.
