    言語教育におけるソーシャルネットワーキングアプローチ(以下 SNA)では、「他者の発見、自己の発見、つながりの実現」を理念に、従来の「わかる」「できる」能力に加え、新たに「つながる」能力を 重要視する(當作 2013)。SNAに基づいてことばと文化を学ぶことで、学習者の人間的成長が促され、社会力も獲得される。  本発表では、上記の教育理念を念頭に、異なる文化圏で学ぶ日本語学習者をオンラインでつないだ取り組みについて紹介する。実践には米国とスウェーデンの大学で中上級レベルの日本語を学ぶ学習者10名が参加した。1学期間、アイデンティティをテーマに授業を行い、非同期型ツールであるブログ、同期型ツールであるビデオ会議システムを利用して双方を継続的につないだ。  アンケート、インタビュー、観察データを分析した結果、学習者はこのようなオンラインでの交流により、言語面だけでなく、自己・他者のアイデンティティや文化について肯定的な視点を持つようになるという変化が見られた。これは自己・他者の新たな発見といえる。また、参加者は、日本に興味があるという共通点があるため、様々なトピックについて積極的に探求し、互いに教え学びあう関係を築くことが容易にできた。さらに「つながり」が形成されていくに従い、日本だけでなく米国やスウェーデンについてもより知りたいと考えるようになり、好奇心の幅が広がった。これはつながりの理想的な実現であるといえよう。  通常、海外の日本語学習者は、日本の英語学習者と交流するケースが多いが、この場合、母語話者に教えてもらうという一方向的な形のコミュニケーションをとりやすい。一方、異なる場所で学ぶ日本語学習者同士の交流の場合、対等な形でのコミュニケーションがとれ、場所によって日本の捉え方も違うことに気づくことで、多元的な視点で日本を捉え直すきっかけにもなる。これは学習者の言語・文化面、精神面での成長にとって大きな意義がある。発表では、学習者、教師だけでなく、教室内外の多くの人たちをつなぐことを可能にするオンラインツールについて紹介し、その効果的な使い方や交流を成功させるための具体的な提案も行う。

    情報通信技術(Information and CommunicationTechnology: ICT)は現代社会において必要不可欠なものであり,ICT なくしては私達の日常生活は成り立たない.一方で,ICT を利用するがゆえにかつては予想されなかった新たな社会的問題ないし社会的リスクが引き起こされている.顕著な例としては,監視社会,ソーシャル・エンジニアリングあるいはサイバーセキュリティなどが挙げられよう.これらの問題は互いに複雑に入り組み合い,より大きな社会的問題へと発展してきた.またICT が普及し人々のライフスタイルが変化するなかでは,セックスやジェンダーといった性にまつわる事象もICT からの影響を免れることは難しく,性別に基づくデジタル・デバイドや,サイバーストーキング,ポルノグラフィ,出会い系サイトなどICT と性との関係性における倫理的問題が議論されるに至る.本稿では,ICT が性に与える影響と,その影響をジェンダーの視角からどのように考察することが可能かについて検討する.

    In the beginning of the 20th century marriage legislation was reformed in all the Nordic countries. Male privileges were abolished and equality was declared. Marriage was constructed as a union between two independent individuals that could be dissolved if both wanted to. It was not until the 1960s that a similar legislation was beginning to take shape in the rest of Europe. The article starts by looking into this common Nordic marriage law reform but focus later on the Swedish reform processes and debates. The analysis is guided by three main questions: why did the reform come about, which meaning/meanings were given to the concept of equality in the debates and which role did women’s organisation play in the process. The paper starts with putting the question of marriage in a wider context, discussing the reform in relation to the specific Nordic path towards a modern society. The following analysis of the Swedish debates shows that the question of marriage was closely interwoven with other contemporary political debates around social conditions, population policy, and eugenics. Establishing equality between husband and wife was one important aim behind the reform, but this aim was combined with, or even seen as a prerequisite for another, namely to strengthen the family as an institution. One of the most complex questions was how to give married women who had no property or income of their own a more free and independent position. How to reach equality in a society characterized by gender difference? This was a central and difficult question for the women’s organisations. Their principal approach to women’s emancipation differed, but when it came to marriage reform they cooperated to influence the new legislation. In the final analysis women’s organisations understandings of equality is discussed in relation to how the concept was approached in the general political debate. One of the central conclusions is that it is necessary to put concepts like equality and feminism in its historical context and another that this Swedish and Nordic marriage legislation was as much about women’s rights as about the well of the nation.

    Abstract [en]

    The goal of this study is to investigate Oshin, the main character of the NHK morning drama Oshin, and analyze her personality such that we may understand how women lived during the Meiji era. This drama was on air from 1983-1984 and recorded the highest rating ever in NHK morning drama history, 62.9%. In fields regarding women and media, there is an abundance of research done regarding Oshin, but comparatively, there are few studies in the field of literature. For the sake of tightening this gap, this paper will focus on researching Oshin. To understand what kind of person Oshin is, her personality will be examined using the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) based on Carl G. Jung’s theory of psychological type. The MBTI aims to find universal features among all humans and to also identify the differences. Therefore, it could be considered as a proper method for this study.

    In this study, we will analyze Oshin and three other characters who exerted large influences on her life. The MBTI will be used to estimate the personality type of each character. These personality types will be looked at in conjunction with the personalities of each character in the drama itself to see if there are correlations.

    The results show that the features estimated from the MBTI and the features of each character in the drama were nearly identical. Using the analysis process, it was possible to look at the conflicting factors in personal relationships, the way people live, and even the author’s intentions.

    The article deals with a conflict during the 1960:s when individual taxation was carried through in Swedish social politics. Professional women wanted to use their education and be working in the labor market, while housewifes, who had invested in unpaid family and caring work, wanted a tax system founded on a family income. The unexpected happened that the professional women could cooperate with male organisations as unions, the press, male politicians etc to effect their policy.

    The purpose of this study is to examine how a game with western background would be localized for the Japanese game market. Although research on the field of localization in general is a bit scarce, one thing that most of the current research has in common is the focus on how Japanese games are localized for the western game market. The research for the opposite side is close to none, which is part of my motivation for choosing this particular subject for my study. In this study, I have examined Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 2. This study will examine how the localization of the game has been carried out with emphasis on how well information – whether it is explicit or implied – is transferred between the original American version and the Japanese localized version of the game. This will be done by comparing dialogue lines side by side between the two versions of the game. The result will be compared with the results presented in previous research on games localized from the Japanese game market to see what similarities might be found.

    発表要旨

    ダーラナ大学(スウェーデン)では、2015年3月よりグラナダ大学(スペイン)と共同で、オンラインで互いの大学の初級日本語学習者の交流会を行っている。二週間に一度の二時間程度のセッションのために、学習者は予め決められたテーマ(①自己紹介、②私の家族、③クリスマスまたはイースター、④日本に行ってしてみたいこと)についての発表をそれぞれ準備し、オンライン上の小グループで各々発表を行い、ディスカッションを行う。

    本発表では、クラスでは文法習得で精いっぱいになりがちな初級日本語学習者が、オンライン上のディスカッショングループで互いに「つながりたい、つながりやすい」環境を作り出すことで、どのように「コミュニケーションのための日本語」を体感し、これを学ぶことができるかを、参加学生による振り返り、および交流会後のアンケートにより分析していく。

    文化的レファレンス―マンガを教材とした日本語教育

    今日、外国人学生が大学・高校等で日本語を学ぶ大きなきっかけの一つがマンガやアニメの存在であることはよく知られている。実際、元来サブカルチャーであったこれらのジャンルは日本文化の海外への輸出手段として注目されるようになり、「コンテンツビジネス」として、経済産業省等の政府機関が輸出に力を入れる分野ともなっている。また国際交流基金も、日本語教育におけるこれらのコンテンツの有用性を利用して、マンガ・アニメ形式の教材を開発している。

    本発表では、言語および文化教育におけるマンガの利用法について考察する。発表者はスウェーデンの大学にて日本語中級レベルの学生を対象に、マンガ四冊を十週間で読むReading Mangaというコースを担当しているが、本発表ではこのコースの内容のみに限らず、①自国語に翻訳されたマンガを読むレベル、②日本語オリジナルのマンガを読みはじめるレベル、③自ら日本語のマンガを翻訳してみるレベル、の三つのレベルにおいて、日本語(および日本語からの翻訳)の学生が、何を学べるかを概観する。①の段階では学生は必ずしも日本語を学んでいる必要はないが、マンガの欧米語への翻訳では翻訳者が原作の文化的レファレンスに非常に忠実であるという特徴があるため、翻訳者による注が非常に詳細にわたって示されており、読者は自然と特定の日本語の単語や文化的背景について学ぶ結果となる。②のレベルでは、学生は一年間程度日本語の基本的な文法を学んでいるが、文化的レファレンスのほかに口語、擬音語・擬態語、役割語など言語的にもマンガを原作で読むことで学べる点は多い。③のレベルでは、発表者が大学で担当している日英翻訳のコース(日本語上級者対象)で翻訳文書の一つとしてマンガを扱っており、ここで学生が直面することになる翻訳上の問題を例に挙げる。ジャンルにもよるが、一般的にマンガには文化的レファレンス、およびそのパロディが多用されており、原文の意味を完全に把握するには日本語能力のみだけでなく、文化的知識も必要とされるのである。

    時間的な制限もあり、本発表では上記①②③についての詳細な考察は難しいが、実例を多用することで、マンガが言語教育、文化教育の双方において非常に豊かなリソースであることを検証したい。

    要旨

    日本語学習の大きなきっかけの一つとして、アニメやマンガが注目をあびている。本発表では、①他言語に翻訳されたマンガを読む、②日本語オリジナルのマンガを読み始める、そして③自分で日本語から翻訳する、という三つのレベルで、学習者が日本語と日本文化について何を学べるかを考える。

    The purpose of this paper is to introduce a joint research project, which was carried out during 2012 (Spring and Autumn) in collaboration between four universities in China, South Korea and Sweden. This joint research project was established to investigate ways to raise the socio-cultural competence of students who learn Japanese at each university through interactions in their common language, Japanese. This paper also aims to discuss the further possibilities of Japanese language education which are not only limited to learning the language.

    This paper aims to study translationese in the Japanese language, and to study if there are any differences between Swedish to Japanese translations compared with English to Japanese translations– which are studied more. Claimed features and characteristics of Japanese translationese include the increase use of personal pronouns, loanwords and paragraph length. However in this study the usage of formal language and gender language in translationese will also be included to in order to distinguish differences between translationese and non-translationese.

    The method used to analyze the material is corpus-based translations studies which is a rather newly developed method to study translation and especially translationese. This method will be used in this thesis to compare translated and non-translated texts. As material two novels are used – one originally written in Japanese, and one originally written in Swedish but translated into Japanese. Due to the lack of translation corpora in Japanese, the novels had to be digitalized in order for the author to browse in the novels. By comparing two novels of the same genre it will be clear what the translated novel lack compared to the non-translated novel as translationese is considered broken or bad translation. The analysis and the comparison will be done with the theories about the features of Japanese translationese.

    The study found that some of the features of translationese were adoptable on Swedish to Japanese translated texts, but there were few significant differences regarding formal language and gender language.

    Single and album track with the Japanese artist duo PUFFY.This year, pop duo PUFFY will be celebrating their 15th anniversary with the release of a new single: “Happy Birthday” on February 9th, along with a new album: “Thank You!,” on March 9th. The melody is written by David Myhr together with succesful Swedish songwriter/producer Peter Kvint.The duo originally debuted with the Okuda Tamio producing the joint single: “Asia no Jyunshin” on May 13th 1996. Their new single album “Happy Birthday” will be in celebration of their 15th anniversary and will feature the title tracks: Eskimo “MOW” CM song “Banzai!,” as well as “Gingakei Drive“; recorded during their 2009 tour. “Happy Birthday” will be released in regular CD and limited edition first print versions, and the limited edition copy will come with a DVD that contains footage from their 2010 summer tour at the Hitomi Memorial Hall.The new album “Thank You!” will express the gratitude for their success that the two members feel. It will also be released in CD regular and limited first print editions. The limited edition will retail at 3939 yen and more details on its bonus features will be released at a later date.On top of all the new releases coming out from PUFFY this spring they will also be going on tour from April through May. The “PUFFY 15th Anniversary Tour ‘Thank You!‘” kicks off at the Osaka Nanba Hatch on April 2nd and runs until May 14th at the Tokyo Hibiya Outdoor Music Hall.
