Abstract [en]

Smartphones have become ubiquitous in people's daily lives, due to their pervasive- ness, continuous connectivity to the Internet and significant computational power. And mobile applications have played a role as an entry point for people to access a mobile network. To help build a malicious content monitoring system and make large amount of app content publically indexed, we aimed at designing and imple- menting a mobile app content collection tool in this master thesis with collaboration to Tsinghua University. All key critical technical points have been discussed in this thesis report. The content crawling module has been evaluated in a open source app and the active network performance module has been evaluated on several popular apps too. The system built in this thesis project is a proof-of-concept and so future work has also been described at the end of report.
