"Det kommer nog naturligt": En kvalitativ intervjustudie om samhällskunskapens inomämnesliga samspel

"It probably comes naturally" : A qualitative interview study on the interactions within the subject of social studies (English)
Abstract [en]

This study examines the interaction within the social studies education through interviews with three upper secondary school teachers. The aim of the study is to examine how the disciplines of social studies interact in social studies education. Three social studies teachers are interviewed about how the disciplines of social studies interact in their education. The interviews are analyzed with an analytic tool consisting of five forms of subject interactions, pre-scientific, uniting, connecting, helping and recreating interactions. They are also analyzed with an analytic tool consisting of four subject didactic profiles, social studies as a subject of orientation, analysis, discussion and action. The result shows that the teachers do not plan for the disciplines of social studies to interact, but that interaction still takes place. The analysis shows that political science is the core of social studies interaction, but that economics and sociology as well as news interact within the social studies subject.
