Independent thesis Advanced level (degree of Master (Two Years)), 20 credits / 30 HE creditsStudent thesis
Due to the events of the fall of 2015 and the start of the refugee crises, Sweden made efforts through different political proposals to stop the flow of people entering the country.
This paper investigates how two of the actions taken by the Swedish government harmonizes with the national and international laws regarding refugees and asylum.
This paper shows that there are several laws making it possible to take whatever actions are appropriate during times of overburden asylum systems which is up to each state themselves to decide. The paper also shows that serious lack of consideration is taken to the situation of children and some groups of people lack their decided right to reunite with their families.
