Abstract [en]

For the course Independent work within the Preschool teacher program I have chosen to do a product development that is going to be helpful for pedagogues to improve the communication for Arabic speaking children. Reports from the National Agency for Education show that every fifth child in preschool has another mother tongue than Swedish. The program within the Education Administration points out the importance to be able to support the children in their mother tongue development and to introduce digital media in preschool. The purpose with my work is to create a website where both children and pedagogues will be able to take part of work material in Arabic. I have gathered different esthetic teaching materials on one platform. The methods that I have used are Human Centered Design and interviews. The results that I have gotten from the interviews were all positive where most think that such a product is necessary. It has also occurred that such a product is missing in other languages as well.  I have chosen to limit my work to the Arabic language only due to it being my mother tongue.
