Abstract [sv]

Kursen ”Fördjupningsarbete i Mekatronik” är indelad tre delar. Under den första delen av kursen bekantade samtliga medlemmar sig med mikroprocessorn AVR ATmega16 genom att utföra tillgängliga laborationsuppgifter. Den andra delen bestod av en individuell specialisering där en fördjupning inom ett visst område utfördes. Del tre, som denna rapport behandlar, utgörs av ett grupparbete där gruppens medlemmar har valts ut utefter valda områden i del två av kursen. På så sätt skall gruppens medlemmar kunna integrera sina expertisområden i produkten. Projektets uppgift, som var att ta fram en robot till den svenska artisten Robyn, tillhandahölls av kursansvariga efter den individuella specialiseringens slut. Detta gjordes som en hyllning till Robyn, som sjunger om robotar och teknik m.m. Roboten som togs fram bestod av en klann-mekanism med åtta ben som används för att efterlikna rörelsemönstret av en krabba samtidigt som antalet motorer hålls nere för att minska komplexiteten. Ovanpå denna framdrivningsanordning återfinns en lysdiodkub som har möjligheten att ge betraktaren en upplevelse i tre dimensioner och utöver detta finns möjlighet att nyttja sociala medier för att påverka det intryck som förmedlas. Styrningen av roboten sker via en androidapplikation som hanterar val mellan ett antal färdiga scheman och kommunicerar detta via blåtand.

Abstract [en]

The advanced course in mechatronics consists of three parts. In the beginning of the course all the participants familiarized themselves with the microcontroller AVR ATmega16 with help from available exercises. The second part consisted of an individual specialization within a certain area. The last part, which this report refers to, was done in groups of five. All groups were chosen after each person’s individual specialization. The assignment was to develop a robot for the Swedish singer Robyn, who sings about robots and technology etc. During the project a robot in form of a Klann mechanism was developed. It consisted of eight legs that were used to resemble the movements of a crab. The number of motors was kept down to minimize the complexity. On top of the mechanism a light diode cube was placed which had the ability to give an experience in three dimensions. In additional to this, a way to use social media to effect the impression that is conveyed is available. An Android application was developed to control the robots movement and the animations on the LED-cube and communicates through Bluetooth.
