En kvantitativ studie om sjuksköterskestudenters attityd till psykisk ohälsa

Abstract [en]

The aim of the study was to investigate nursing students' attitudes towards mental illness. The questions was "Is there a difference in the attitude to mental illness between nursing students who had and not had read the course mental illness? "and" Is there a difference in the attitude to mental illness between nursing students attending term 1-3 and term 4-6? "The instrument used was the questionnaire CAMI-s, which includes three factors that intends to measure attitudes to mental illness. The study enrolled a total of 89 respondents. For the first issue divided the respondents into two groups, those who had the course and not had the course mental illness. Regarding second issue was respondents divided into two groups, group 1 were respondents from term 1-3 and group 2 were respondents from terms 4-6. The results show no difference in attitude between those respondents who read the course mental illness and those who had not read it. The results showed also no difference in attitude between group 1 and 2. The conclusions are that neither completed the course in mental illness or regarding which group respondents belongs to will influence the attitude to mental illness.

Abstract [sv]

Syftet med studien var att undersöka sjuksköterskestudenters attityd till psykisk ohälsa. Frågeställningarna var ” Finns det skillnad i attityden till psykisk ohälsa mellan sjuksköterskestudenter som läst och inte läst kursen psykisk ohälsa? ” samt ” Finns det skillnad i attityden till psykisk ohälsa mellan sjuksköterskestudenter som går i termin 1-3 och termin 4-6?”  Instrumentet som användes var frågeformuläret CAMI-s, som innehåller tre faktorer som har för avseende att mäta attityder till psykisk ohälsa. I studien deltog sammanlagt 89 respondenter. Avseende första frågeställningen delades respondenterna in i två grupper, de som läst kursen och inte läst kursen psykisk ohälsa. Avseende andra frågeställningen delades respondenterna in i två grupper, terminsgrupp 1 blev respondenter från termin 1-3 och terminsgrupp 2 blev respondenter från termin 4-6.                                        Resultatet visar ingen skillnad i attityden mellan de respondenter som läst kursen psykisk ohälsa och de som inte läst den. Resultatet visade heller ingen skillnad i attityden mellan terminsgrupp 1 och 2.                                                                                           Slutsatserna är att varken genomgången kurs i psykisk ohälsa eller terminsgrupp påverkar attityden till psykisk ohälsa.
