Abstract [sv]

På Sandvik Coromant i Gimo genomförs i dagsläget transformationer, vilket medför att verksamheten förbättras. På avdelningen GHMB pressas hårdmetallpulver samman, vilket är första steget i skärtillverkningen. Här har förbättringsmöjligheter identifieras och en av dessa hade syftet att standardisera vågarna i pressmaskinerna. Målet med lösningen är att öka flexibiliteten på maskinerna, underlätta planeringen av produktion samt minska belastningen på konstruktionsavdelningen. Den nya lösningen måste medföra rotationslåsning av vågplatta och vågskål (vilket dagens lösning inte har), och standardiseringen måste generera minst lika bra pressningsresultat som tidigare konstruktion. Projektets avgränsning är att endast fokusera på att standardisera vågarna och arbetet med och kring dem.  För att nå fram till projektets mål genomfördes först en förstudie, vilken gav information om vad som skulle genomföras och vilka personer som var viktigast att kommunicera med. Men det som ledde projektet mot målet var metoderna i genomförandefasen. Dessa metoder gav information om viktiga aktiviteter för att projektet skulle komma framåt samt vilka lösningar som var möjliga att genomföra. Här skapades även koncept via målspecifikation, brainstorming och konceptgenerering.  När ett slutgiltigt koncept hade identifierats gällde det att ta fram en prototyp för utvärdering. Utvärderingen visade att den framtagna prototypen hade bättre lösningar än den befintliga konstruktionen, och den genererade även bättre och noggrannare vägningsresultat. Av resultatet drogs slutsasen att den framtagna produkten genererade minst lika bra resultat som den befintliga lösningen, men den hade bättre rotationslåsning. Den minskar belastningen på konstruktionsavdelningen, ökar flexibilitet som då också underlättar arbetet för planeringsavdelningen.

Abstract [en]

At Sandvik Coromant in Gimo, transformations are up on the topic, these transformations mean that the business will improve. At the GHMB6 department, inserts are made from cemented carbide powder, which is the first step in inserts production. At this department opportunities for improvement have been identified, one of them has the purpose to standardize the weight scales in the machines. The goal of the project was to increase the level of flexibility in the machines, make the work easier for the planning department and reduce the encumbrance at the engineering department. A solution for locking the scale plate and scale pin, needed to be found, and the standardization must work at least as good as before. The project is delimited to the standardization and the work with the scale. To reach the project goal, a pre-study was done, this pre-study gave information about what is need to be done and important persons to discuss with. The project reached the goals with the methods in the carry through-phase. These methods gave information about important activities that lead this project in the right direction and which solution that was realistic. During this phase, concepts were created by using target specification, brainstorming and concept-generating. When the best concept was found, the next step was to create a prototype for evaluation. The evaluation showed that the developed prototype had better solutions than the existing construction, the prototype also generated better and more accurate weighing result. The result was concluded that the developed product generates at least as good results as the existing solution, but it had better rotation lock. The prototype reduces the encumbrance at the construction department, increase the machine flexibility and make the work easier for the planning department.
