Abstract [en]

The purpose of this study is to that with the help of literature and a number ofinterviews try find similarities and differences between Waldorf school philosophyand curriculum and the municipal school's philosophy and curriculum and see howand if these affect the students knowledge levels before and after the change betweengrade 9 and upper secondary school. The study describes both schools’ basic ideas,views on knowledge and the school's role, and to let some students tell theirexperiences. The results show that there are a lot of similarities and differences butthat the interaction between student and teacher is likely more important thanpedagogy.
