Abstract [sv]

Syftet med studien är att visa att personer med medfödd dövblindhet är beroende av  omgivningens kunskap om medfödd dövblindhet och vilja till kommunikation för att de ska få möjlighet att själva utveckla sin egen personlig utveckling. Efter sju kvalitativa intervjuer visar resultaten på att det beror på vilka kompetenser personerna runt om personen med medfödd dövblindhet har, som kan vara avgörande för en kunskaps- och kommunikationsutvecklingen.

Abstract [en]

The purpose of this study is to show that people with congenital deafblindness depend on ambient knowledge of congenital deafblindness and willingness for communication to get opportunities to develop their own personal development. After seven qualitative interviews, the results show in that it depends on what skills the people around the person with congenital deafblindness have, that may be essential for the knowledge and communicational development.
