Abstract [en]

A model which captures the interaction between infrastructure, spatial economic growth, and structural change is presented. The model is an Applied Multisector Network Equilibrium (AMNE) model consisting of a Walras-Armington formulation of commodity flows and a multinominal logit formulation of modal split and link assignment. The supply side is of vintage type since the time horizon is medium term. Moreover, the equilibrium model is motivated as an adiabatic approximation of a dynamic system in continuous time where the slaving principle has been applied to separate the involved processes.
