Abstract [sv]

Mätning av varvtal, effekt, vridmoment, bränsleförbrukning och emissioner av koldioxid (CO2), kvävemonoxid (NO), kolväten (HC) och kolmonoxid (CO) vid olika motorarbetspunkter definierade av effekt/varvtal, gjordes för elva VW Polo bilar av årsmodell 1998. En APG-dynamometer (Automatic Performance Guide) användes vid experimenten. En av bilarna testades två gånger vid olika tillfällen.

Beräkning av konfidensintervall för enskilda fordon gjordes med antagande att mätvärdet är en normalfördelad stokastisk variabel. Vid angivande av motsvarande konfidensintervall för en grupp fordon förutsätts mätvärdena vara inbördes oberoende och likafördelade.

Stora variationer mellan olika fordon beträffande emissioner av NO och HC registrerades. Utsläppen av CO uppvisar också påtaglig variabilitet, medan resultaten för bränsleförbrukning och koldioxidutsläpp var betydligt mer entydiga.

Abstract [en]

Measurements of engine speed, effect, torque, fuel consumption, and emissions of carbon dioxide, nitrogen monoxide, hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide at various engine work points defined by effect/engine speed, were made for eleven VW Polo cars of year model 1988. An APG-dynamometer (Automatic Performance Guide) was used in the experiments. One of the vehicles was tested twice on different occasions.

Confidence intervals for single vehicles were calculated on the assumption that the measured value is a normally distributed stochastic variable. When the corresponding confidence interval for a group of vehicles is stated, the measured values are presumed to be mutually independent and equally distributed.

Large differences, between different vehicles, in emissions of NO and HC were registered. The emissions of CO also exhibit considerable variability, while the results for fuel consumption, and consequently for emissions of CO2, were much more uniform.
