Interlaboratory test 2008 : test methods for asphalt (English)
Abstract [sv]

This cross testing experiment with 50 participating Swedish road laboratories includes several European Standards now used in Sweden for testing asphalt mixes. The methods studied are: - determination of binder content and particle size distribution of asphalt mixes, - Marshall compaction of asphalt mixes, - determination of maxim and bulk density and void content of Marshall compacted asphalt mixes. The purpose of the cross testing experiment is to assess how well these tests have been implemented in the Swedish laboratories, but the purpose is also to assess whether the method FAS Metod 480 "Determination of binder content by extraction under ultrasonic method" can be considered to give equivalent results with SS-EN 12697-1 "Soluble binder content".
