Abstract [sv]

En mycket viktig faktor vid inventering av vägnätets tillstånd med hjälp av mätbilar är att med tillräckligt bra noggrannhet kunna positionsbestämma mätdata.

I mars 2012 lades korrektionstjänsten EPOS, som hittills använts för att ge en förbättrad positionering, ner. I och med detta har VTI på uppdrag av Trafikverket utvärderat om den kostnadsfria korrektionstjänsten EGNOS, som drivs av ESA, är möjlig att använda istället. Svaret är ja. Inga systematiska skillnader i positionsangivelser har kunnat observeras då den gamla och nya korrektionstjänsten använts.

Abstract [en]

An important factor in the inventory of the road network condition is to be able to geographically position the measurement data at the right place with sufficient accuracy.

In March 2012, the correction service EPOS, used to provide an improved positioning, was shut down. By the commission of the Swedish Transport Administration, VTI has evaluated whether the free correction service EGNOS, operated by ESA, is possible to be used instead. The answer is yes. No systematic differences in the position data could be observed when using the old and the new correction service.
