Abstract [en]

The use and attention given to the certification system “Miljöbyggnad” has increasedin recent years. The system is completely Swedish and was initiated in 2005 by theBygga-Bo-Dialogen. Miljöbyggnad aims to create a healthy indoor environment, reduceenergy consumption and discourage the use of hazardous chemical substances. Thegrades that can be obtained are Classified, Brons, Silver and finally Gold.The work has been to examine three different models and conclude how the designof the models affect the grades in the certification system Miljöbyggnad. The firstmodel represents the 5th floor in the office building in the block Svalan while theother two models have been developed for comparison using simulation programsand hand calculations.From interviews we have obtained new potential solutions to what kind of action thatis required of the design in the pursuit of a good rating. Also to identify at what stagethe indicators affect the project.It has been concluded that despite of a large reduction of the windows areas of thedeveloped models, one get roughly the same results as for the original model whatconcerns the relevant indicators. This is because, in addition to the cut down of theamount of windows, also changes have been made on the placement of the inner wallsand thus the layout of the original model has been redesigned. The original model thatconsists largely of single offices has been redesigned to two new models. The firstmodel consists of larger offices as opposed to one person rooms. In the secondmodel a large amount of offices have been replaced with offices with landscape design.
