Electron Structure Based Magnetization Dynamics (English)
Abstract [en]

In this project a method used for performing accurate simulations on magnetization dynamics based on constrained field density functional theory has been validated and used for performing computations on a few magnetic materials. The method has been shown to simulate systems consisting of iron well, but there are still problems with simulations of alloys containing both magnetic and non-magnetic materials.

Abstract [sv]

I projektet har en implementation av ett simuleringsprogram som utför noggranna beräkningar av magnetiseringsdynamik med hjälp av constrained field density functional theory validerats och använts för beräkningar på några magnetiska system. Metoden har visat sig fungera väl för system bestående av järn, men det finns fortfarande problematik i implementationen, speciellt för vissa mer komplicerade system som legeringar av magnetiska och omagnetiska material.
