Abstract [sv]

Syftet med arbetet var att undersöka lärare och elevers beskrivningar av information om bedömning, inför arbetsplatsförlagt lärande. Jag ville både undersöka vilken information om bedömning som lärare och elever upplever att de hade gett respektive fått och hur den hade kommunicerats. Den metod som jag använde mig av var enkät under ledning och undersökningen genomfördes på hotell- och restaurangprogrammet med elever från årskurs tre.

Det som jag kom fram till i min studie var att elevernas beskrivningar skilde sig från lärarens beskrivning. Det visade sig att flera av eleverna inte visste vad som bedöms, vem som bedömde eller vilken kurs som momenten ingick i trots att läraren beskrev att informationen hade getts till eleverna. Även hur informationen hade kommunicerats skilde sig åt mellan lärare och elevers beskrivningar Som möjliga orsaker till de olika beskrivningarna, har jag diskuterat att det kan ha berott på olika störningar i kommunikationen och brister i kunskap om kommunikationsprocessen.

Min förhoppning är att mitt arbete skall göra lärare medvetna om kommunikationens betydelse i klassrummet och undervisningssituationen och i synnerhet vikten av att kommunicera bedömning med eleverna.

Abstract [en]

The aim of this work was to investigate teacher and students description of information about evaluation, before work placement learning. I wanted to investigate teacher and students experiences of which information about evaluation they had given and taken, and how it had been communicated. The method that I used was questionnaire under guidance and the investigation was implemented at the Hotel and Restaurant Programme, third grade.

The result of my study was that the students’ descriptions were different from the teacher’s description. It showed up that several students did not know what to evaluate, which one who did the evaluation or which course the moments belonged to, even that the teacher described that information has been given to the students. About how information has been given was also different between the teacher and the students’ description. As possible causal to the different descriptions, I have discussed that it could depend on disturbance in the communication and shortage in knowledge about the communication process.

My hope is that my work should make teachers conscious about the meaning of communication in the classroom and the teaching situation. Especially the importance of communicate evaluation with the students.
