Abstract [en]

This bachelors thesis was made for

Wallenius Water AB to develop a basis

for an Air

purifier prototype. Wallenius Water is

one of the world's leading environmental

technology companies engaged in

chemical-free water treatment based on

UV-radiation. The thesis aim was to

produce a basis for a prototype that can

be used in three applications:

Standalone, RAS systems and ventilation

systems. The work includes an

introductory description of the theory

behind AOP technology based on a

literature review on the subject. A

survey of products currently on the

market and a product specification has

been used as the basis for the

preparation of a number of concepts in

this report. These concepts deal with

various construction and design

variations and shows how these models

can look and operate. From these

concepts a final concept was selected to

make an CAD model that has served as a

basis for an initial design of the lamp

power and a presentation of how this

design can be made based on values

extracted from the standards and Swedish

official limit values. This report is

also the basis for what the products

ascetic design might look like.
