Proposal on Rooftop Houses in Stockholm (English)

Miljonprogrammets kommande energiupprustning blir allt mer akut samtidigt som energipriserna i Sverige trappas upp. Med miljötänkets renässans och dagens energikonsumtion är det viktigt att såväl befintliga som nyproducerade fastigheter anpassas och energieffektiviseras. Arbetet grundar sig i den försvarbara investeringen av upprustningen på miljonprogrammets hus samt den rådande bostadsbristen i Stockholm.   I rapporten kan läsaren följa utvecklandet av ett påbggnadsförslag i centrala Stockholm. Förslaget beskrivs utifrån arbetets 3 grundpelare planering, konstruktion och energi. Syftet är att undersöka om en påbyggnad av fastigheten Linjalen 8 är möjlig. Vidare att undersöka om påbyggnaden kan anpassas för en hållbar framtid och exemplifiera energieffektiviseringar.   Påbyggnadsförslaget har ämnat i 3 seperat stående takhus per befintlig byggnad, totalt 12 takhus. Förslag på möjlig energieffektivisering angivs samt energianalys i tidigt projektskede har utförts.  

Abstract [en]

The refurbishment and energy effectivisation of the “miljonprogrammet” is emerging while the energy prices in Sweden are escalating. With the environmental awareness and today’s energy consumption, it is important that both existing and newly constructed buildings are energy efficient and adapted for the future. This work is based on the justifiable investment of refurbishing the buildings of “miljonprogrammet” and suggests an improvement for the current housing shortage in Stockholm.    In this report, the reader can follow the development of the project proposal on rooftop houses in Stockholm. The proposition is defined and supported by the three pillars planning, construction and energy. The aim is to investigate whether an extension on top of the property Linjalen 8 is possible. Furthermore to investigate whether the rooftop houses can be adapted for a sustainable future and exemplify energy efficiency.   The proposal have resulted in 3 separately standing houses per existing building, a total of 12 houses. Suggestions for possible energy efficiency are given and an energy analysis in the early stage of the project has been performed.
