Abstract [en]

This thesis has been done in order to ease the process of drawing schematics of

electrical wiring. The need arose after demand from the government due to a series

of incidents that took place during the revision of the nuclear power plant in year

2009.

The task of the project has been to create a computer program that can generate a

graphical representation of the electrical components relations. The basis for the

program has been an example of how the client wants the graphical representation to

look. During the course of the project weekly meetings have occured in which the

client has reviewed the work.

The result of the project is a program written in Visual Basic Applications that can be

run in Microsoft Excel. The program is capable of generating graphics for a majority of

the cases. Since the program is written in Visual Basic Applications it is possible to run

it on almost any computer that has the Microsoft Office suite installed.

The program is straight forward, has a built in user manual and a step-by-step guide in

order to make it easy to use.
