Abstract [en]

The article deals with the question of exclusivism, inclusivism and pluralism in the history of Indian religions. It tries to demonstrate that there is a kind of constant switch between the three models of relating one's own religion to other religions. At every stage, religions can turn tolerant or intolerant. Inclusivism and pluralist theology did not necessarily prevent intolerance.
