Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

The aim of this study was to gain a deeper understanding for how some teachers experienced feedback in their working situation. The study was based on following questions: Which impact does feedback have on job satisfaction in the workplace, seen from an co-worker perspective? How has this a relationship with the teachers’ development of their own feedback skills? The methodological approach was a semi-structured interview guide and the selection consisted of eight teachers. Duration of the interviews was 20-35 minutes. The results showed that feedback occurs all the time. Respondents felt that it is easy to give and to receive positive feedback, but felt they should improve themselves when giving negative and constructive feedback. The results also indicated that social support from colleagues in the workplace is important to feel job satisfaction. Job satisfaction enables the feedback to be a constant feature of the working day. In the discussion following aspects were discussed: the significance of feedback, social support and development of their own feedback skills.
