Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

In this project the house Röken, up on the Småland highlands is analyzed, a place with a lot of history. From the 17th century when a fragile peace is the reson the house is built to when the house is modernized in the middle of the 20th centur and gets decorated with many furniture from AB Svenska möbelfabrikerna, that had its factory just a few miles away. This leads into a research about the family that owns the house today and to Jan Strand, my father, who is the only one living in the house. The project has produced the furniture “Beach”, which is meant for use by Jan when he is flipping through his Jazz collection.
