Bakgrund: Hot och våld mot sjuksköterskor i sjukvården kan påverka deras hälsa och arbetsmiljö. Hot och våld kan vara verbalt, fysiskt, psykiskt eller sexuellt. Det finns många orsaker till hot- och våld på arbetsplatsen. Bland annat sjuksköterskebrist, ökad arbetsbelastning och otillräcklig utbildning.

Syfte: Att belysa sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av hot och våld inom vården.

Metod: En litteraturbaserad studie baserad på vetenskapliga artiklar inom området, innehållande fyra kvalitativa och sju kvantitativa samt en studie med både kvalitativ och kvantitativ ansats.

Resultat: Tre huvudteman med tillhörande åtta subteman identifierades. Huvudteman var: Påverkan på välmående och i vårdkvalitén, hanteringsstrategier av våldsincidenter samt behov av förebyggande åtgärder.

Konklusion: Hot och våld inom sjukvården uppmärksammas inte i den utbredning det borde. Sjuksköterskor upplever många konsekvenser, såsom sömnsvårigheter, posttraumatiskt stressyndrom (PTSD) och utbrändhet. Utbildning, tydliga riktlinjer och en säker arbetsmiljö utgör viktiga förutsättningar för att sjuksköterskor ska kunna förebygga och hantera hot och våld.

Background: Threats and violence against nurses in healthcare can affect their health and work environment. Threats and violence can be verbal, physical or psychological. There are many causes of threats and violence in the workplace. Among other things, a shortage of nurses, increased workload and insufficient education.

Aim: To highlight nurses' experiences of threats and violence within healthcare.

Method: A literature-based study based on scientific articles in the field, containing four qualitative and seven quantitative and one study with both qualitative and quantitative approaches.

Findings: Three main themes were identified: Impact on well-being and quality of care, strategies for handling violent incidents and the need for preventive measures. Based on these main themes, eight sub-themes emerged.

Conclusion: Threats and violence in healthcare do not receive the attention they should. Nurses experience many consequences of being exposed to threats and violence in the workplace, such as difficulty sleeping, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and burnout. Education, clear guidelines, and a safe work environment are essential for nurses to prevent and manage threats and violence effectively.
