This thesis examines agricultural practices in Bronze Age Greece, with a specific focus on the Peloponnese. Through a quantitative analysis and literature review of botanical material from seven archaeological sites, the study investigates the spatial and chronological patterns of crop cultivation. The research aims to understand the relationship between agricultural practices, societal transformations, and climatic conditions. The findings indicate correlations between crop distribution and environmental and societal factors, illustrating how ancient societies adapted to climatic and societal shifts. The study emphasises the resilience and sustainability of Bronze Age agricultural systems, providing insights into adaptive strategies employed to address climate and societal related challenges. The integration of landscape theory and resilience theory provides a comprehensive framework for analysing the complex interplay between human activity and environmental changes during the Greek Bronze Age. 

Denna avhandling undersöker jordbruksmetoder i bronsålderns Grekland, med ett specifikt fokus på Peloponnesos. Integrationen av landskapsteorin och resiliensteorin ger ett omfattande ramverk för att analysera det komplexa samspelet mellan mänsklig aktivitet och miljöförändringar under den grekiska bronsåldern.
