Abstract [sv]

I dagens digitaliserade samhälle är cybersäkerhet avgörande för att skydda både individer och organisationer mot cyberhot som phishing, ransomware och social engineering. Den snabba tekniska utvecklingen och det ökade beroendet av internetbaserade tjänster har gjort hotlandskapet alltmer komplext. Denna studie undersöker hur riktade utbildningsprogram och medvetenhetsinsatser kan minska dessa hot genom att stärka säkerhetskulturen och beteendet inom organisationer. Studien betonar vikten av personaliserad, interaktiv och kontinuerligt uppdaterad utbildning samt ledningens engagemang för att skapa en proaktiv säkerhetsmiljö. Resultaten visar att rollspecifika och adaptiva utbildningsprogram, i kombination med aktivt ledarskapsstöd, avsevärt förbättrar medarbetares medvetenhet och beredskap för cybersäkerhet, vilket minskar sårbarheten mot cyberhot. Framtida forskning bör undersöka hur individuella motivationsfaktorer påverkar utbildningens effektivitet samt integrationen av ny teknik som AI för att ytterligare stärka cybersäkerhetsberedskapen.

Abstract [en]

In today's digitized society, cybersecurity is essential to safeguard individuals and organizations against cyber threats such as phishing, ransomware, and social engineering. With rapid technological advancements and an increased reliance on internet-based services, the threat landscape has become increasingly complex. This study explores how targeted training and awareness programs can help mitigate these threats by strengthening security culture and behavior within organizations. Emphasizing the role of personalized, interactive, and continuously updated training, the study identifies management engagement as crucial for fostering a proactive security environment. The findings indicate that role-specific and adaptive training programs, combined with active leadership support, significantly enhance employee cybersecurity awareness and preparedness, reducing vulnerability to cyber threats. Future research should investigate the impact of individual motivational factors on training effectiveness and the integration of emerging technologies, such as AI, to further strengthen cybersecurity resilience.
