Uppsatssyftet var att undersöka hur rösträttsstrecken påverkade möjligheten att rösta i Gravalandskommun två valdistrikt mellan 1914 och 1921. Utöver det att analysera skillnaden mellan män ochkvinnor på en lokal och nationell nivå. Den vanligaste orsaken att män förlorade sin rösträtt var att deinte hade betalat sin kommun eller statliga skatt tre år innan valet och inte mottagit någon fattigvård.

I 1914-års val förlorade en tredje del av män sin rösträtt, till stor del för de inte hade betalat sin skatt.Tillskillnad från kvinnor som inte hade någon rösträtt alls. I 1921års val röstade en majoritet av alla mäni Grava landskommun, men valdeltagandet var lägre i jämförelse med resten av Värmland och riket. Tillskillnad från männen så röstade mindre än 50% av kvinnorna, men det var ändå högre valdeltagande änresten av Värmland och rike

This essay aims to study the impact of voting restrictions placed on the Swedish public between 1914and 1921 in the Grava municipality's two voting districts. Furthermore, analyze the difference betweenmale and female voters at the local and national level.

The most common restrictions affecting the male population's right to vote were that he had to pay hislocal and national taxes for three years before the upcoming election and not receive any poor relief.During the election of 1914, around a third of the male population lost the right to vote, mainly becauseof unpaid taxes. Compare this to the female population, who weren’t allowed to vote before the electionsof 1921.

During the 1921 election, a majority of men cast their vote in Grava but were still below the state andnational average, while the female voters were below 50% but above the state and national level.
