The aim of the present study is to build a digital annotated corpus of oral narrations of the Koroshi Balochi dialect. The oral texts that are annotated in this study are of two genres: folktales and biographical tales. The stories that are annotated were recorded during several field trips to Iran.
The first part of the book begins an overview of the geographical distribution of Koroshi Balochi speakers, situating the Koroshi Balochi dialect within the broader Balochi language. This is followed by a brief discussion of the data collected. Of particular note is the fact that the storytellers are typically multilingual.
The second section of the book presents four texts that have been interlinearized using the FLEx program. This book forms part of a series dedicated to the publication of oral texts from various Balochi dialects.
