Abstract [en]
In this thesis, the study investigates the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within organizations and its impact on employee dynamic. The research delves into the critical factors essential for successful integration. It presents case studies from IKEA and Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) to offer insights into how AI has the potential to revolutionize organizational practices and reshape workforce behaviour.
The findings underscore the importance of aligning AI with organizational objectives, investing in employee skill enhancement, and integrating AI with existing systems. However, the key to implement AI lies in fostering a culture of preparedness. This culture ensures that organizations are ready to embrace the changes AI brings, thereby upholding transparency, fairness, and trust in AI-driven processes.
The impact of AI on employee dynamics is profound, encompassing the redefinition of job roles, changes in collaboration and communication patterns, and a heightened demand for new skills. However, it's important to note that AI also has the potential to enhance efficiency and create opportunities for more meaningful work. While it presents challenges such as potential resistance to change and the need for ongoing support during the transition, the overall outlook is one of optimism and progress.
This research enhances the understanding of AI's impact on organizations and provides practical recommendations for leaders seeking to leverage AI effectively. It underscores the importance of taking a holistic approach addressing the technical and human aspects of AI implementation, empowering organizations to harness this transformative technology's potential fully.
