Abstract [en]
The study analyzes the textbook ¡Qué Bien! Textos 9 in relation to the Swedish curriculum (Lgr22) and Ken Robinson's theories on creativity. The purpose is to evaluate how creativity is represented and supported in the textbook. Using a qualitative text analysis method, specific sections of the textbook were closely examined. Results show that ¡Qué Bien! aligns with both direct and indirect curricular demands for creativity, offering activities like group exercises, pair work, and individual tasks. However, the textbook cannot independently foster creative thinking; it relies on a skilled teacher to activate its content and integrate it effectively into teaching practices. The teacher’s role is crucial for creating a dynamic learning environment where creativity can flourish.
