Technology and Digital Tools in Primary School : A Comparative Analysis of Teachers' Experience of Stress in Relation to the Implementation of Technology in Teaching (English)
Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

This study examines stress levels and mental well-being among teachers based on their experience with technology in education. Two groups were compared: teachers with less than 30 years of experience and teachers with more than 30 years of experience. A total of 143 teachers participated in the study, of which 103 responses were analyzed after accounting for internal dropout. A quantitative research design was applied, with data collected through questionnaires based on the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10). The results indicated that stress levels were slightly higher in the group with less experience with technology, but the difference was not statistically significant. Correlation analyses identified strong associations between technology management, mental well-being, and job satisfaction, particularly between technology stress and mental well-being (r = 0.568). The findings highlight the importance of reducing technology stress, providing support, and granting teachers greater control over technology to enhance their well-being and job satisfaction.
