Abstract [en]
Knowledge sharing is something that all organizations work with in various ways. It can be challenging to work on spreading knowledge as it can be somewhat diffuse in many organizations.
The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how project offices work with knowledge sharing. The research questions used are: What knowledge is transferred? How is it transferred? What factors influence knowledge sharing?
The thesis is qualitative in nature, using semi-structured interviews as the method. The interviews were analyzed using thematic analysis, and three themes were identified: the importance of dialogue, project knowledge, and structural factors. The conclusions and results show that knowledge sharing in the form of communication is crucial for the work of project offices, and that many see physical meetings as important. Project offices use network meetings and training sessions to spread knowledge. The knowledge that is transferred is often project knowledge, ranging from how to work with projects to applying for project funding. The structural factors that influence the work of project offices are primarily the economy, personnel resources, and the external environment.
