Abstract [en]
According to WHO, loneliness and social isolation are 2 main mental risks affecting senior people in their later life. Therefore, connection becomes a key word, including CONNECTION among the residents and that with the public society. A therapeutic garden is introduced into this program, serving as a platform, enable connections among the users. In this garden, the plants of course play a key role. Plants contain different qualities with multi-sensory stimulations including smell visual touch sound, and, we can work on caring for them, gaining fruits and flower from them. Besides, extra functions like planting experience, wellness are generated from the garden, working together with it, enriching daily life here.The garden turns into different atmosphere by seasons, cold winter, colorful spring, summer and autumn, then winter again, repeating itself again and again. For people living here, it also can be a circulation from healthy to death, then new residents come. It’s a story about time, changing people, changing garden view, with a still building witnessing.
