This research review explores the framework factors influencing visual arts education within Swedish and international schools. By systematically analyzing existing scientific research, the review addresses the question: "What framework factors are highlighted in research regarding visual arts education?" Focusing on how chosen factors are shaped by globalization, educational policy documents, school leadership, and subject traditions interfere and impact visual arts education. We conclude that mentioned factors are all intertwined in affecting education. Knowledge regarding framefactors can be used as a tool for evaluating a teacher's work, the schools organizational leadership and how to improve the premises of learning.
