High School in the digital era : A qualitative study on the challenges and opportunities of digitalization from both teacher and student perspectives (English)
Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

This qualitative study examines challenges and opportunities of digitalization in high school. Through interviews with teachers and students, the research aims to shed light on the multifaceted consequences of digitalization. Employing a case study approach, a specific school environment is analyzed to investigate stakeholders' perceptions and experiences. The findings highlight challenges in embracing digital platforms and AI tools like ChatGPT. By applying the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the study delves into teachers' and students' attitudes towards the usability and ease of use of AI tools. The research methodology includes data analysis following Oates' recommendations to ensure a structured and detailed examination of relevant themes. Ethical considerations in the conduct of the research are also emphasized. Overall, This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the complexities of digitalization in education and emphasizes the importance of active involvement by school administration in teacher preparation.
