Abstract [en]

Why do people cry at funerals? Is my master’s Project with focus on the exploration of Death considering not only the societal norms and weight regarding the topic – through questioning our current celebrations and ways of grieving – but also, by acknowledging the norms attached to them, I connect them to my own beliefs and dogmas that have been build over my lifetime by my specific place of birth, my family background etc.

By using the graphic Novel format to this project, I aim to bring the topic to people in a light way without falling into the shallowness but also not treating the topic as a taboo, but acknowledging that it is in this society.
