Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

This study explores how credible information sharing between non-playable characters (NPCs) can influence player decisions and experiences in interactive environments. By integrating a new rumor-spreading system with AI technology, the work aims to enhance believability and engagement in game worlds. The study builds on previous research on NPC interactions and uses a custom-developed game environment to simulate the concept. The results show that credible rumor-spreading systems can increase players' sense of a living and responsive world, leading to more engaging and strategically deep gaming experiences. Future work includes full AI integration and evaluation of the system's performance.
