Abstract [en]
In a world currently struggling with the effects of Climate Change, it becomes priority to protect natural ecosystems such as forests and yet these areas continue to be threatened. That is the case of Snurrom forest, Sweden, where authorities have already prepared a real estate project with the excuse of being a sustainable option, but which voices have they been hearing to take this decision? In the era of the Anthropocene, humans take their decisions based only in their own experiences. How can I through visual communication contribute to the discussion about the Snurrom forest with multispecies and co-created perspectives, in the need of non-human centered policy making? That is the question leading this design project. Through visual communication, I explore ways for developing tools to create a sensory experience in Snurrom with the aim of develop more empathy towards the forest and therefore include other than humans’ perspective into our policy making.
