Equal access to justice is one of the goals of the UN 2030 Agenda. In the chapter, the use of, and possible use of, legal technology for the purpose of reaching this goal is described and discussed. The focus is on cost as a barrier for using legal technology in the quest of increasing access to justice in general. In the chapter, the question of splitting the economic gain between clients and lawyers of using legal technology is discussed, as well as how legal technology for the use of non-lawyers should become affordable for the users.
