Working as an real estate agent has been a job dominated by men. The typcial
picture of a real estate agent is a middle-aged man. On the later days, the real
estate profession has changed. There are now more women seeking
themselves in to the profession. Tus, there’s also most women who are leaving
the profession. The purpose of this essay is to explain why women choose to
leave the real estate profession. In the theoretical framework presents
research regarding genders to help us understand how men and woman works
and if there are any differences between the genders. Research on leadership
and how it may affect the well-being of its employees is also presented. In
addition, a review of organizational culture is presented to see how the
workplace affects the employees. The method is based on a qualitative
interview study with 9 women who have chosen to leave the real estate
profession. The results show the reasons which has influenced the choice of
women to leave the profession. In the discussion/analysis the results are
argued set out from the theoretical framework. This in turn led to the
conclusions of the essay. The sources used during the essay are presented in
the section references. The appendix contains the questions used in the
interviews.
