Abstract [en]

The objectives are:

1.- To set the definitions, objectives and phases included in the condition assessment process

2.- To examine and review the existing procedures used for the condition assessment of railway bridges in twelve selected european countries 

3.- To create the necessary knowledge to develop a future expert system for bridge condition evaluation that may be assumed, understood and incorporated by the different european countries
