Abstract [sv]

Det finns begränsningar i elnätet i Sverige. Tillsammans med utmaningar som uppstår vid omställningen av energisektorn till förnyelsebar energi så uppstår det en problematik som behöver lösas då samhället är beroende av elektricitet. En dellösning för att möta problemen är energibesparingar. I examensarbetet utvecklades enprototyp för att undersöka möjligheterna med visualisering av elförbrukningen. Resultatet i examensarbetet blev en färdig prototyp för att visualisera elförbrukningen från en elmätare. Slutsatsen som drogs var att energivisualisering kan minska energiförbrukningen.

Abstract [en]

There are limitations in the electricity grid in Sweden. Together with the challenges that arise due to the conversion of the energy sector, these constitute to a problemthat needs to be solved when society is dependent on electricity. One possible solution to meet the problem is energy savings. In the thesis project, a prototype was developed to investigate the possibilities of visualization of the electricity consumption.The result of the thesis project was a complete prototype for visualizing the electricity consumption from an electricity meter. The conclusion that was drawn was that energy visualization facilitates energy reductions.
