Abstract [sv]

Efter genomgång, sammanfattning och analys av litteratur på området kring in-outsourcing har jag tagit fram en algoritm baserad på parametrarna: kostnadsbesparing, kapitalrationalisering, grad av kärnverksamhet samt risk. Risken beskriv jag genom följande tre underparametrar: antal möjliga leverantörer, kostnad för eventuell outsourcing samt hur komplett är informationen i beslutsunderlaget. Parametrarna graderas sedan utifrån kriterier med värden 1, 2 och 3.

Genom att sätta samman parametrarna till en ekvation där kostnadsbesparing och kapitalrationalisering blir direkt proportionerliga samt kärnverksamhet och risk blir omvänt proportionerliga fås ett in-outsourcingvärde. Ett lågt värde indikerar insourcing och ett högt indikerar outsourcing.

In-outsourcingvärdet tillsammans med ingående parametrar kring kärnverksamhet och risk ger fyra rekommendationer:

  • Insourcing: ett lågt in-outsourcingvärde mindre eller lika med 0,7) 
  • Fall till fall, situationsanpassat: ett medelhögt in-outsourcingvärde (större än 0,7 mindre än 1,4) 
  • Outsourcing i kombination med en Business Continuity Plan: ett högt in-outsourcingvärde (1,4 och över) i kombination med hög grad (3) av antingen kärnverksamhet eller risk. 
  • Outsourcing: ett högt in-outsourcingvärde (1,4 och över) i kombination med medel (2) eller låga värden (1) på antingen kärnverksamhet eller risk.

Algoritmen genererar en in-outsourcingrekommentation på 77 % av de 81 möjliga kombinationerna. Resterande 23 % får behandlas från fall till fall.

Abstract [en]

After going through, summarizing and analyzing literature in the field around in-outsourcing I have made an algorithm based on the parameters: cost reduction, capital rationalization, degree of core business and risk. Risk is defined by the following sub-parameters: number of possible suppliers, cost of potential outsourcing and how complete the information is for basing the decision. The parameters are graded 1, 2 and 3. Through combining the parameters into an equation where cost reduction and capital rationalization is directly proportional and degree of core business and risk is inversely proportional an in-outsourcing value is obtained. A low value indicates insourcing and a high value outsourcing.

The in-outsourcing value together with the parameters regarding degree of core business and risk then generates four recommendations:

  • Insourcing: a low in-outsourcing value (less or equivalent to 0,7) 
  • Case-by-case, situational: a medium value (larger then 0,7 or less then 1,4) 
  • Outsourcing in combination with a Business Continuity Plan: 1 A high in-outsourcing value (1,4 and more) in combination with a high degree (3) of either core business or risk 
  • Outsourcing: A high in-outsourcing value (1,4 and more) in combination with an average (2) or low value (1) of either degree of core business or risk.

The algorithm generates an in-outsourcing recommendation on 77 % of the 81 possible combinations. The remaining 23 % will have to be dealt case-by-case.
