Denna studie kommer framför allt försöka utläsa hur det ”oskrivna” i fantasy skapar möjligheten till ett tredje alternativt plan, mellanrummet mellan fantasytexten och läsarens fantasi. Det som är av intresse för mig är hur det i fantasy-världen skapas en historia och samhällsordning som leder läsaren in i en större värld än vad huvudhandlingen kan erbjuda. Uppsatsen tänker undersöka hur med berättargrepp och narrativa strukturer texten styrs samt hur detta gör fantasygenren annorledes då den avsäger läsarens värld och bygger en egen. 

This paper is exploring how the "unwritten" part of the fantasy text permeates and makes it possible for a third part of fiction, the space between the text and the reader. The main focus of the paper is to find how, with narrative structure and devices, the text is managed and how this differs when the text don't relates to the readers own actual world.
