Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

The study shows that the Technology Company is already working to promote more women in leading positions but the development has stagnated. The study highlights the importance of anchoring proactive gender equality throughout the organization as well as setting clear gender equality goals. The study also highlights the significant role of recruiting managers when the aim is to increase gender equality in leading positions within organizations. At the same time, the study shows a number of obstacles, for example, the lack of knowledge of recruiting managers regarding gender equality. In order to enable more women in leading positions, the Technology Company should, among other things, work to raise awareness of gender equality in the organization, implement targeted investments for women with the potential to hold a business-leading role such as competence development, networking and mentoring programs. In addition, the study notes that the Swedish Technological Company should work to increase gender equality at global level, as this has a major impact on operations in Sweden.
