Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

The current study aimed to examine differences between males and females regarding their attitudes toward the metoo-movement and their perceptions of whether an action is a sexual harassment or not. The study also aimed to examine a potential correlation between these attitudes and perceptions as well as if there was any difference between males and females regarding the potential correlation. A webbased survey was answered by 166 respondents, where of 97 (58,4 %) were females and 67 (40,4 %) were males (M = 23,80 years, SD =3,22). The results showed significant gender differences which entailed that the females had more positive attitudes toward the metoo-movement as well as they perceived more actions as sexual harassments compared to what the males did. Furthermore, the results showed a strong positive correlation between attitudes toward the metoo-movement and perceptions of sexual harassment, but no significant difference were found between males and females regarding this correlation.
