Abstract [en]

Statistics show that a number of emergency services in Sweden suffer from overcrowding with numbers increasing every year. People simply have insufficient knowledge about what is considered an emergency.

There are, among other things, research showing that peoples mindsets, behaviors and feelings can be positively influenced by three rhetorical proofs; ethos, pathosand logos.

This study has, based on trials such as interviews and questionnaires, found that an information sheet about the emergency room and other care receptions with rhetorical proofs as a basis, may have the ability to both influence and inform people about other care alternatives in order to avoid unnecessary visits to the emergency room.
